Junior forward Madison Montgomery had nine points for The Beach, seeing its six-game winning streak snapped. Junior guard Raven Benton, the 49ers’ leading scorer, went scoreless in the first 11 minutes and did not play the rest of the game.

Sophomore guard Sarah Toeaina added nine points for the Wahine, who outrebounded the 49ers 52-30. In their Jan. 7 meeting at The Pyramid, Hawaii had a 52-29 rebounding edge.

The 42 points was a season low for the 49ers, who came in averaging 68.0 points.
