1 man hurt in Chinatown fire

Firefighters extinguished a fire on Kekaulike Street in Chinatown this morning.

One man was injured early this morning in a Chinatown fire that involved a structure and a car.

The man, 62, suffered burns to his arms and was taken to the hospital. His condition was not immediately known.

Fire officials said the fire was reported at 5:58 a.m. and brought under control at 6:02 a.m.

Seven companies and 26 firefighters responded to the fire on Kekaulike Street near North Nimitz Highway

Police closed one lane on King Street near Maunakea Street.

The cause of fire is under investigation.
