Man charged with abuse after allegedly assaulting woman, taking her property

Police today charged a 35-year-old Wahiawa man with misdemeanor abuse after allegedly assaulting a woman and taking her property using force.

Police arrested Moses Kerisiano at 1:50 a.m. Thursday at his Wahiawa home.

The 34-year-old woman said that after taking her property by force, he prevented her from calling 911. Police said the incident occurred in the presence of a child under the age of 14.

The suspect was identified and arrested for investigation of second-degree robbery, abuse of a family or household member and interference with reporting a 911 emergency.

Police dropped the robbery and interference offenses, and charged Kerisiano with misdemeanor abuse. Bail was set at $2,000.
