The National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association is honoring the Star-Advertiser’s Billy Hull for being voted by his peers as the 2015 NSSA Sportswriter of the Year in Hawaii.

Hull, who primarily covers University of Hawaii baseball, boxing and MMA, joins sportswriters and sportscasters from other states and Hall of Fame inductees Chris Berman (ESPN), Billy Packer (CBS/NBC/Raycom), the late David Halberstam (best-selling author) and Gary Smith (Sports Illustrated) as honorees of the sports organization.
