A 53-year-old man is an facing escape charge after he was caught by police Monday after failing to return to a group home last year.

Marc Belkin was committed to Kahi Mohala in December after he was found mentally unfit to stand trial for car theft.

He was given a conditional release that same month by a judge, but failed to return to the group home facility Dec. 14.

He was arrested Monday at Queen’s Medical Center.
