Firefighters extinguish building fire in Kalihi

    Firefighters extinguished a 2-alarm fire in a two-story building on Puuhale Road in Kalihi this afternoon.

Firefighters extinguished a two-alarm fire in Kalihi at 275 Puuhale Road this afternoon.

The fire broke out about 5:05 p.m.

Responding firefighters saw smoke and flames coming from the second floor of a two-story building.

People in the building escaped without injury after noticing smoke.

Firefighters brought the fire under control at 5:20 p.m. and extinguished it by 5:34 p.m.

The cause is under investigation and a damage estimate was not immediately available.
