scary…the crime out here is horrendous
He must have been at Club 939. Young thugs hang out in that area, but 9:30 is early for them.
You seem very familiar with Club 939, but that is not in Makiki.
SA is headlining with Makiki, that particular establishment however is only a few yards from the intersection of South King and Keeaumoku.
ryutsuru may be right though the Makiki area border with the Ala Moana area is considered to divide right at South King Street. However, the area below South King Street is often referred to as, “Lower Makiki.” Makiki tends to be bounded by Punahou Street to Pensacola Street and all the way up from South King Street up to Round Top Drive.
Pleeny Micro’s around that area. Nough said.
Get one right eensai hea. Micro cephalic dat is.
That’s actually Pawaa.
Or as it’s known now, Koreamoku.
It appears from Hawaii news that crime is running rampant here but it’s not as bad as on the mainland.
Today, there was a video posted on Fox news showing a woman being brutally beaten on a street in Philadelphia during the day (not night) while bystanders are watching and videoing the assault. http://nation.foxnews.com/2016/05/15/video-shows-woman-being-beaten-while-crowd-watches?ref=yfp In the video, nobody went to stop the beating.
Ahhhhh, yes. “This land of Aloha”. Keep pushing the myth….
What? The cops not even talking to you guys now?
I wonder who’s orders that was…
To protect, to serve. The rookies are afraid of the criminals.
I would be too. Some of the trash out here care only to tat themselves and hurt everyone around them, as though that’s what it means to be a man. With each successive generation it repeats.
Not only does it repeat, it gets progressively worse with each lost generation. I shudder to think what awaits us even 20 years from now.
(I remember early one morning when 4th watch was closing the Wave. A brand new rookie asked for rap-warrant on Charlie Stevens. I Think every officer in D-1 responded to that one.)
the good old days…I think most of the people here don’t know what you’re writing about…
I never would have thought Charlie was a Wave kind of guy…I would have thought the Infinity.
Time to bring back the Metro Squad.
can you blame them? Its a shame, these guys want to protect and serve but the criminals are better armed then they are, and its always ‘why did you shoot, just because he had a gun pointed at you/just because he was coming at you with a knife, and he had 30 priors, he was a good boy”
When it gets dark, go home – if you have a home.
If you don’t have a home, move in with Allie.
But according to all the guys who have, she snores LOUDLY !!!
I sleep in my dorm room silently. Manoa rocks me to sleep in a most gentle way
Scary area.
You must be new to this blog. Some of us figured out a long time ago that Allie is a male. He is a he, not a she or a heshe, just a he.
SA this happened last night !!! By now don’t you have any more info??
I actually think that there isn’t any info because crimes like this are so commonplace that it no longer really matters that much.
Keeaumoku Street has a concentration of bars from which results in a steady amount of fights that end up outside into the streets…..bad combination of alcohol and hot tempered young men so it’s not surprising that these fights happen regularly…….
Well said. Every point you make is validated all too often, with disastrous and sometimes fatal results. With the predictable prevalence of drunken violent crime in this area, HPD still doesn’t get the message. Foot patrols would seem to be warranted here. Eh, Louie, are you listening? It’s your watch. Get with it! Or are you only thinking about your upcoming retirement at this point?
I just heard of another beating to death involving the n shore brazilian illegal alien drug thugs. any connection to this one?
A nice idea, but I’m not sure what good having 8 footmen hanging out at 939 trying to make time with the dancers while their Sgt is hanging out at the Downtown Substation is going to do to stop crime.
Pilau town side
Well, look at the bright side.
The poor guy didn’t go to church instead.
