Firefighters extinguish mattress fire in Wahiawa
No one was injured in a mattress fire at a Wahiawa home this morning.
The Fire Department was called to Kuahiwi Avenue at 11:45 a.m. today.
Firefighters doused the fire within four minutes of arrival.
The fire was contained to the mattress and the area around it.
No cause had been determined as of 4 p.m.
Red Cross volunteers are assisting displaced residents to ensure they have food, shelter and clothing.
