High surf advisory in effect for all south-facing shores
A south-southwest swell expected to bring high surf to all islands prompted weather officials to post a high surf advisory.
The advisory covers all south-facing shores and is in effect through 6 a.m. Thursday. National Weather Service forecasters expect 5- to 8-foot surf along south shores.
“Beachgoers, swimmers and surfers should heed all advice given by ocean safety officials and exercise caution,” weather officials said.
