Homicide detectives have initiated two attempted murder investigations following separate incidents in Waipahu and Makakilo.

Police are searching for a suspect who fled from the parking lot of the Palehua Terrace Townhouses just after 3 a.m. today after he allegedly tried to run down a man with his car following a fight.

In the Waipahu incident, a man allegedly set fire to a window and a door at a home occupied by a 42-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman. The incident occurred at 2:50 a.m. Monday.

No arrests have been made in either case.
