MALIBU, Calif. » Dr. Dre has been cited after a man says the rapper pointed a handgun at him.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says the man told them he was parked outside a Malibu, California, home when Dre ordered him to leave and showed a gun.

Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, told sheriff’s deputies he didn’t have a gun and that the man was blocking his driveway. He says the man moved his car but parked nearby. He says the man drove off after Dre recorded video of him.

Dre was briefly handcuffed while deputies investigated. No weapon was found at the scene, but deputies say the man initiated a citizen’s arrest for misdemeanor brandishing a firearm.

A representative for Dre didn’t immediately return a request for comment.

Black Lives Matter will use this to their advantage. Never ever handcuff any man/women of any color or creed! All Lives Matter, smh

Wonder if he will counter sue this person? I mean no gun was found so he made a false charge. How come that man’s name wasn’t reported?

Seems like the best weapon is a cellphone to record it all on video since if you don’t have any evidence, then it’s like no crime has ever occurred in the first place and will be just their word against yours.

  3. Boots says:

And where is the NRA? Even if Dre had a gun, he has a second amendment right to it considering that the other person could have been a TERRORIST.

  4. NanakuliBoss says:

You can be a billionaire, Own the most exclusive home in Malibu but still be arrested for lack of bleach pigmentation. You can also carry a firearm on your driveway which is part of your castle.

    • Mr. Luke says:

He wasn’t arrested. You can carry it on your property but can’t display it in a threatening manner, which was the allegation.

    • justmyview371 says:

A “citizen’s arrest” complaint (whatever that is) was lodged, so the police needed to do something. I would assume they will release him immediately. I assume they didn’t do a search of his property without a warrant.
