Maui woman accused in twin’s death released from N.Y. jail

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

The New York State Police released this mugshot of Alexandria Duval, who was arrested on Aug. 15 for drunk driving in New York.

STAMFORD, N.Y. » A woman who had been accused of killing her twin sister after their vehicle plunged off a Hawaii cliff has been released from a New York jail where she was being held on drunken driving charges.

Delaware County authorities say 38-year-old Alexandria Duval was released Friday after posting bail.

Duval was arrested Aug. 15 in Stamford. State police said her blood-alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit.

Duval pleaded not guilty Aug. 23 to charges including aggravated driving while intoxicated.

Messages left with her attorney weren’t returned.

Duval’s sister, Anastasia, died in May when their SUV crashed on Maui and plunged 200 feet.

Alexandria was jailed on a second-degree murder charge but later released when a judge determined there was no probable cause to support the charge.

This lady gets drunk and kills her sister. She then moves to NY where she’s arrested on drunk driving charges. I suspect she has a problem that’s not being addressed and yet she’s released from jail and will very likely drink and drive again.

Her sister was no better than her. They were fighting when the car went over and they were both scammers. Two losers. I wonder what their parents are like? What type of upbringing did they have?

The story gets more bizarre when you read more on this woman. They were involved in scams and have a high life filled with luxuries from ill-gotten wealth. Once this story blows open this may become even more bizarre.

AP: She is NOT a “Maui woman”. She is a mainland transplant who once resided in Maui, Florida, and a handful of other places. Please correct your headline…
