Amy Schumer issues sarcastic apology over Trump comments
NEW YORK » Amy Schumer has issued a sarcastic apology days after some people walked out of a Tampa, Florida, show in which she criticized Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
The comedian read a “Dear Tampa” letter during her show Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden in New York. She questioned how she could think it was “OK to spend five minutes having a peaceful conversation with someone with different views.” She also said she’s sending herself “to a rehab facility” that will teach her “how to make all people happy.”
A Tampa Bay Times reporter who saw Schumer’s show Sunday estimated about 200 people walked out after she criticized Trump and questioned one of his supporters on stage. Schumer also discussed her support for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

My hat off to you Amy.
And here’s aan one.nother article about trump raping the 13 year old girl in 1994, and confirming the court hearing scheduled for December 16,2016.

donald is going down folks, in more ways th
Can’t wait to see how this plays out in a court of law.
The irony is that she has now shown herself to be no better than the person she criticizes. She had already shown that she has no respect for her audience nor anyone with opinions different from hers. The people that support Clinton will agree and defend her but I gaurantee you that, if she were critical of Clinton they’d turn on her. This seems to be the world we live in.
Ms. Schumer is no better than Mr. Trump? Have you been in a coma for the past 16 months? Mr. Trump is violent sexual predator and psychotic. Ms. Schumer is a comedian.
What kind of comedian isn’t funny?
And You need Lots of Help. Get while obamcare still pays. LOL
Why do I need help? I don’t find her funny. That doesn’t mean I need any kind of help.
I think you proved my point and “No” I haven’t been in a coma. Unlike you, I think for myself. As I stated, people for Clinton (I’m guessing that’s you) ignore any facts that the lady is a liar and a cheat. It’s unlikely that I’ll vote for her or Trump as I think both are awful but it’s clear that you drank the Kool-Aid.
Yes, of course. I “drank the Kool-Aid.”
Great analysis.
We knew something was wrong with you.
No class and no class are the classifications equally label the comedian criticism of Trump and disrespectful toward her paying audience that were there to be entertain. A sarcastic apology is another no class and childish behavior . Hence, she is no better than the person she unintentionally equates herself to!
Besides being told that she talked about her views on Trump and Clinton, can you tell me what was actually said at the show and also context? What was the no class part of her show that you were offended by, and I’m not just talking about her different views on the subjects.
Trump and his supporters are all of the same feather. Trump lashed out when Saturday Night Live (yes, the one that is funny and has used satire for decades to poke fun at pretty much everything/everyone) did a spoof on the debates b/n himself and Hillary. Trump’s supporters were offended when Amy poked fun at Trump. All of them are thin-skinned and can’t handle a bit of humor. Did Hillary whine and cry out because of the very same SNL skit also made fun of her? No, she did not. Why? Because she’s an intelligent grown up who knows that it was meant to be humorous. Fine with me if people walked out of Amy’s show. They should keep walking, and walking, and walking …
If its ok for her to think she’s a political pundit and its ok for people to walk out, why are you upset?
Sounds to me like the people who walked out were the “upset” ones. Sorry, folks, no refunds. Don’t forget to tip your waitress.
Perhaps it wasn’t insulting Trump that caused people to bail because she spoke the TRUTH about the JERK. Maybe it was her support of Hillary !!! Ha, ha, ha
Trump is gonna lose, he’s gonna lose SSOOOO big, believe me, believe me. Then, he and his supporters can crawl back into the caves they emerged from ……………….
Did you fall on your head when you was a baby?
You cannot be so delusional that you believe Mr. Trump is going to win the election. His numbers have collapsed completely, and his personality disorders will not allow him to recover. He has close to a 0% chance of winning.
I don’t know how anyone could possible go to such a show and be surprised that such jokes are being told. These people who walked out probably just had to go to the restrooms. lol
It’s easy for people to get offended at things, just look at these boards where anything you say against Trump or Clinton their supporters will go crazy and all sense of logic go out the door.
That’s what comedians get paid to do, make people laugh. I am sure for every 200 that walk out 1000 extra people will support her.
Sometimes you need to take a step back and walk in another person’s shoes. If a comedian were to directly ridicule you, your parents, and children for your political and religious beliefs with you present in a public auditorium, how would you react? Easier yet, how about some clown in a bar calling your wife ugly? Would you sit there like a sheeple? Funny? Would you laugh? Just providing you and others with another point of view.
I’m assuming your asking us to understand what those who are the target of Trump’s comments must be feeling?
“you’re” (sorry about the error…)
You mean that…if these adults weren’t at a comedy show being given by a comic who likes to talk about things in a certain funny manner and they also didn’t willfully pay their money to witness this comic speak…I would definitely see your point of view.
Thank heavens we have comics and movie stars to tell us who to vote for. After all, if they made it that far for us to know them, then they must be far superior to us and their input is well thought out and meaningful. Thanks heavens for the people who tell us what to do!!!
Ms. Schumer has every bit as much right to comment as you do. If you don’t want to take her advice, then don’t. She’s a big success, so she must be doing something right.
Can you fill up an arena with fans? No, I didn’t think so.
@ Klastri – did fans really pay money to find out who Amy will be supporting in the election? To be fair, she should have gave Hillary equal time and joke about how big a liar she is.
Just watch FOX “news” to get THAT sort of humor! (Fair and balanced, right?)
Why does she need to be fair in your opinion?
Fair? Please grow up.
Ms. Schumer knows that Mr. Trump is going to lose and she wants his loss to be as humiliating as possible. She has not been shy or quiet about that.
Anyone who knows anything about Mr. Schumer knows that. Buyer beware.
Amy Schumer and SNL gives us stress relief from this election. Rehab facility to teach her how to make all people happy – funny stuff.
Trump needs rehab to teach him how to take a compliment and not pop off. Seriously, what bigger honor than being on SNL??
Amy’s uncle is the next in line for the D’s senatorial leader–who else would she support??? But like the other celebrities–who care’s about their opinions??
Agree!
She sounds borderline crazy.
Exactly my point…if anyone has a different opinion then they must be crazy.
Her daddy should have taken her over his knee when she was a child.
Even better, daddy should have pulled out and never let her happen……
Brilliant!
WOMAN HATER ALERT – CEI AT IT AGAIN
CEI says:
Her daddy should have taken her over his knee when she was a child.
Pervert
Pervert? That’s a resume enhancer if you’re a progressive democrat.
