H-3 Kaneohe-bound reopened after multiple crashes
Multiple accidents this morning prompted police to close all lanes of the H-3 in the Kaneohe-bound direction.
HPD sent out an alert just before 10:30 a.m. that the H-3 Kaneohe-bound lanes were “completely closed” before the tunnel due to multiple accidents. There were no immediate reports of serious injuries.
The freeway was reopened around 11:30 a.m.

Slow down people. It’s raining. No tailgating, either.
Lots of idiot drivers out there. Hopefully the person who caused the accident enjoys being without a vehicle for awhile.
agree..I was almost hit on my bike this morning! slow down!
It would be nice if drivers understood that headlights are not only meant for you, the driver, to see others, but for others to see you.
I drive through tunnels just about every day. It does seem to me that the same clueless drivers to don’t use their headlights in tunnels are the same ones who can’t or won’t use their turn signals when changing lanes. Must be as high a correlation coefficient of around 0.8. Now what about some Hawaii drivers makes this so?
I have noticed an huge uptick of speeding, racing and cutting ahead, and swerving in and out of lanes lately. Neurotic and sociopathic driving is becoming the new deadly norm
So many things to do and so little time to do them.
HPD could be out there proactively enforcing traffic laws better, but no. Easier to be reactive instead and close highways after the fact. It’s what they do best.
