Hawaii lawmakers and residents are gathering to remember the late Big Island lawmaker Rep. Clift Tsuji, who died last month.

The public is invited to pay their respects at a memorial service today in the House of Representatives chamber at the state Capitol. Doors open at 9:30 a.m., and a ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Flags at the Capitol will be flying at half-mast from sunrise to sunset to honor Tsuji.
