Police investigating alleged sexual assault at Stan Sheriff Center
Police were investigating a sexual assault at the Stan Sheriff Center last night during a University of Hawaii basketball game.
The incident happened at about 7:45 p.m. when a female was allegedly groped by a man as she walked out of a bathroom, the UH-Manoa’s Department of Public Safety said.
The woman reported that the unknown man ran away after groping her.
Police were called and a report was filed, the department said.
The suspect was described as in his 30s, about 6 feet tall with short, wavy hair, and a slim to average build. He wore dark pants and a blue collared shirt.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call 911 or UH-Manoa’s Department of Public Safety at 956-6911.
The UH men’s basketball team was playing UC Santa Barbara at the time, later winning the game 78-56.
