Sophomore hitter Brett Rosenmeier put down a career-high nine kills in his second career start and No. 5 Hawaii won its sixth straight, sweeping UC San Diego 25-16, 25-15, 25-23, in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation volleyball match tonight in La Jolla, Calif.

Freshman middle Patrick Gasman added seven kills for the Rainbow Warriors (11-2, 4-2 MPSF), who snapped the Tritons’ five-match winning streak. Junior opposite Tanner Syftestad led UCSD (4-5, 1-5) with seven kills.

It was the ninth consecutive victory over the Tritons for the Warriors who continue their four-match road trip tomorrow at Cal Baptist (3-8, 1-6).
