Visiting firefighter rescues family from water

Queen’s Bath on Kauai.
A visitor from Canada rescued a couple and their infant baby Saturday after a wave washed the family into the water on Kauai.
The parents and their 11-month-old baby, who were visiting from Milwaukee, were standing on the rocks at Queen’s Bath in Hanalei at about 1:24 p.m. when a wave swept them into the pond, Kauai firefighters said.
The Canadian, who is also a firefighter, assisted the family with getting out of the pond and out of harm’s way.
Responding firefighters examined the family. No injuries were reported.
