All lanes of Kalanianaole re-opened
The Board of Water Supply re-opened all lanes of Kalanianaole Highway around 2:10 a.m. today.
Board of Water Supply officials said its crews repaired a 12-inch main break in the eastbound direction of the highway between Waiholo Street and Kaimoku Way at 11 p.m. Saturday. A water main break clogged eastbound traffic on the Kalanianaole Highway across from Waialae Iki Park in East Oahu Saturday.
The break was first reported just before 11 p.m. Friday, affecting 31 customers, Board of Water Supply officials said. Water service has since been restored.
Correction: This story was updated after the Board of Water clarified it is a 12-inch water main, not 24-inch as was reported earlier.
