Burt Bacharach had a string of hits starting in the late 1950s and continuing on through the 1980s.

Burt Bacharach, winner of eight Grammys and three Oscars for tunes like “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head” and “The Look of Love,” will appear at Blue Note Hawaii for four shows in October.

Presale tickets are $95-$150 and are available today at the venue’s website, bluenotehawaii.com, using the access code “Legend.” General sales begin at 10 a.m. Friday.

Bacharach had a string of hits starting in the late 1950s and continuing on through the 1980s. Some of his most popular works were collaborations with co-writer Hal David and singer Dione Warwick, including the hits “Walk on By,” “I Say a Little Prayer,” and “Do You Know the Way to San Jose.” His songs have also been performed by singers as varied as Tom Jones and Rod Stewart, but Bacharach himself is considered an insightful performer of his own works.

Bacharach will perform with a 12-piece band, including singers. He will give one 8 p.m. show per night from Oct. 12-15 at Blue Note Hawaii, located in the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort.
