    Britain’s Andy Murray pulled out of the U.S. Open due to a hip injury.

NEW YORK >> Andy Murray has pulled out of the U.S. Open because of a hip injury.

Murray announced his withdrawal on Saturday, two days before the start of the year’s last Grand Slam tournament.

Murray won the U.S. Open in 2012 for the first of his three major titles.

He was seeded second this year.
