Oahu is under a flash flood advisory until 6 p.m. today, the National Weather Service said.

At 3 p.m., radar showed heavy rain falling at the rate of 1 to 2 inches an hour near Hauula, forecasters said.

Locations spotlighted in the advisory include Hauula, Waimanalo, Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe, Kahaluu, Ahuimanu, Kailua, Manoa, Maunawili, Kaneohe, Kalihi, Waikane, and Waiahole.

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low-lying, flood-prone areas, the Weather Service said.
