A 39-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter in the death of a 36-year-old man who died Tuesday of injuries from an altercation last month.

Dentric Kenta Dunmore was charged Friday afternoon. His bail was set at $150,000.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim as Hawaii resident Dishaun Walton. Walton died of a homicide due to blunt force injuries to the head, the office said.

On Sept. 20, Dunmore was in an altercation with Walton that sent Walton to the hospital, police said. Walton’s condition deteriorated and he died Tuesday morning.

Dunmore was arrested Thursday in Kaimuki for investigation of second-degree murder, but the offense was later reduced to manslaughter.
