Lifeguards are warning people to stay out of the ocean after a 7-foot shark was spotted about 30 feet off of Makaha Beach Park this morning.

“The shark is considered aggressive because it was thrashing around,” Ocean Safety spokeswoman Shayne Enright wrote in an email.

Makaha Beach Park remains open, however.
