Kaneohe man dies after he is pulled from water off Ala Moana
A 67-year-old man has died after he was found unresponsive in waters off of Ala Moana Beach Park.
He was identified as Hans T. Sasaki of Kaneohe. The exact cause and manner of death is pending, according to the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office.
Sometime before 6:40 a.m. Monday, Emergency Medical Services said surfers found an unresponsive man later identified as Sasaki in the water and pulled him to shore.
Paramedics arrived and transported Sasaki to a hospital in critical condition where he died.
