Police transferred two murder suspects to the Honolulu Police Department’s main headquarters from the Wahiawa police station today following their arrest in Mililani Thursday night.

Police arrested Stephen Brown, 23, and Hailey Kai Dandurand, 20, near the Mililani Walmart on suspicion of second-degree murder involving the death of a 51-year-old woman found at a Pupukea vacation rental Thursday afternoon.

Relatives identified the victim as Telma Boinville.

Police also arrested Brown for two warrants and Dandurand on suspicion of unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle in the second-degree.

Brown, also known as Stephen Hayes Brown and Alex Cardenas, has a criminal record of petty misdemeanor theft and disorderly conduct.

Charges are pending.

Police said Boinville was found Thursday afternoon inside a vacation rental where she was employed as a house cleaner. Her 8-year-old daughter was found bound upstairs.

Brian Emery, who sought the public’s help via social media in locating the suspects, thanked the community for coming together to help capture the suspects immediately.

A GoFundMe account has been created to support the daughter of Boinville and Emery’s twin brother, Kevin Emery.
