Melissa Estoy was last seen leaving her Waianae home by a family member on Tuesday.

Police, firefighters, and the Coast Guard were searching today for a missing 21-year-old woman off the Waianae Coast.

Police sent out a request to the public on Friday for help finding Melissa Estoy, who was last seen leaving her Waianae home by a family member on Tuesday.

Her vehicle was located at Zablan Beach in Nanakuli at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday, police said, adding that her family and friends are very concerned about her safety and well-being.

Honolulu Fire Capt. Kendell Ching said firefighters assisted police with searching the area on Friday before suspending the search.

At about 10:20 a.m. today, firefighters returned to continue searching at the request of police and used a helicopter and personal watercraft to scan the water, Ching said.

The Coast Guard said it also responded today with a cutter, a small boat, and an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter. The cutter and the helicopter continued searching this afternoon.

Estoy is described as 5 foot 2, about 120 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or submit a web tip.
