Emergency Medical Services transported a motorcyclist to a hospital after he sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash in the Ala Moana area early today.

The crash occurred about 250 feet east of the intersection of Kapiolani Boulevard and Kamakee Street shortly before 6:40 a.m.

Lt. Ben Moszkowicz, acting captain of the Honolulu Police Department’s Traffic Division, said a white 2015 BMW operated by a 70-year-old man collided with a 2002 Triumph motorcycle operated by a 31-year-old man.

Paramedics transported the motorcyclist to a hospital in serious condition.

It’s unknown whether speed was involved.

Moszkowicz said alcohol or drugs were not factors.
