Pier 1 Imports at Kailua is closing its doors for good, with a closeout sale beginning today.
Everything in the store is 20 to 30 percent off the ticketed price, and fixtures are also for sale, at the store at 609 Kailua Road, according to an e-mail that went out ot customers early this morning. A store clerk said the liquidation sale would continue until the end of March.
Property owner Alexander & Baldwin in November announced that ULTA Beauty, which is opening its first two stores in Hawaii, would be taking the spot. ULTA Beauty is also opening at Pearl Highlands Center. Both stores are expected to open in the summer or fall of this year.
Pier 1 Imports, based in Texas, has other locations at Ward Village, Pearl City and Kapolei. On neighbor isles, Pier 1 Imports has a store in Kahului, Maui and in Hilo and Kona on the Big Island.
