Ewa Beach man accused of sexually assaulting daughter’s friend
A 49-year-old Ewa Beach man charged with sexually assaulting a minor is scheduled to be arraigned in Circuit Court.
Ziggy Z. Puaa is set to appear in court Thursday after an Oahu grand jury returned an indictment in February against Puaa, charging him with one count of first-degree sexual assault and two counts of third-degree sexual assault involving a girl under age 16.
The jury issued a $75,000 bench warrant for his arrest.
According to court documents, the victim’s mother reported to police in February that her 15-year-old daughter’s school counselor notified her that her child had been sexually assaulted.
The counselor told her the victim was sexually assaulted by her friend’s father on three separate occasions.
The first alleged sexual assault occurred in 2016. The two other alleged assaults occurred in 2017.

Police arrested him Saturday at a Kuhiawaho Place residence. He was released Sunday after posting bail.
