Boat service at the USS Arizona Memorial was suspended after a crack in the support structure for a loading ramp was discovered.

The National Park Service is resuming boat transport service today to the USS Arizona Memorial.

“While safety of the visiting public was our primary concern, an effort was made to resume operations as quickly as possible,” the park service said in a news release.

Service was suspended after a crack in the support structure for a loading ramp was discovered, the park service said Monday.

Repairs were made Tuesday by the monument’s facilities chief and the Concrete Preservation Institute, a nonprofit educational foundation, the park service said.
