During that time, the sirens will sound intermittently. The sirens to be tested, according to HI-EMA, are at Kaneohe Beach Park, Waimanalo Beach Park and Mokapu Saddle Road. It is only a test.
All three sirens were installed as part of HI-EMA’s ongoing siren repair and upgrade program. Over the next few months, other sirens will be updated and additional sirens installed at various locations across the state.
