Man charged in Kailua assault
Prosecutors charged today a 32-year-old man who allegedly assaulted a 26-year-old woman in Kailua Saturday.
Police arrested Brandon Shimomura 10:15 p.m. Saturday on suspicion of second-degree assault.
Police said he caused substantial bodily injury to the woman between 9:55 p.m. and 10:15 p.m.
Shimomura was charged with second-degree assault. His bail was set at $75,000.
