Mililani High briefly put on lockdown as police investigated in the area
Mililani High School was briefly under lockdown as a precautionary measure as police conducted an investigation in the area.
The school went into lockdown at about 9:15 a.m., according to Derek Inoshita, a Hawaii Department of Education spokesman.
The lockdown was lifted at about 9:35 a.m.
Michelle Yu, spokeswoman of the Honolulu Police Department, said, “A student reported hearing a noise that was possibly gunfire while walking to school. Officers searched the campus and surrounding area but did not find anything.”
