Sandy and Jessie Bernstein comfort each other during an interfaith memorial service and solidarity vigil against anti-Semitism and hate at the Holocaust Memorial in Miami Beach, Fla., tonight.

A “Prayers for Pittsburgh” gathering will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday by Temple Emanu-El to pray for victims of Saturday’s Tree of Life Synagogue shooting and their loved ones.

Members of the Oahu Jewish and other faith congregations will gather to show support for the Pittsburgh community, where an anti-Semitic gunman killed 11 worshippers and injured six with an assault rifle and at least three handguns. The assailant Robert D. Bowers has been taken into police custody.

Overflow parking is available at Nuuanu Congregational Church, across the street from Temple Emanu-El, located at 2550 Pali Highway. Call the temple at 595-7521.
