Woman seriously injured after rear-ending truck in Waikiki

A moped rider was taken to a hospital after she was involved in a two-vehicle collision in Waikiki early today.

Emergency Medical Services said the rider, a 24-year-old woman reportedly rear-ended the back of a truck at the intersection of Ala Wai Boulevard and Kalaimoku Street at approximately 12:45 a.m.

She sustained severe facial injuries and a possible head injury in the crash. Paramedics treated and transported her to a hospital in serious condition.
