Woman charged with attempted murder

A 38-year-old woman who was arrested Friday in connection with the stabbing of a 25-year-old woman in Pearl City was charged with attempted murder.

Waydene Davis was expected to appear in court this morning on the charge. Her bail is $250,000.

Honolulu police arrested Davis after they were called to a Kuokoa Street address. They said a witness reported the attack.

At the time of the arrest police said they did not have details of the events leading up to the attack, but that it appears the women know each other.

The city’s Emergency Medical Services says an ambulance crew transported a 25-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds to her body from the Kuokoa Street address to the hospital in critical condition.
