Arby’s is promoting its new King’s Hawaiian Big Kahuna sandwich with day trips to the islands.

Starting Friday, Arby’s is offering a chance to win one of 10 trips to Honolulu for $6 each, the cost of one of their new sandwiches featuring King’s Hawaiian buns.

If that sounds too good to be true, it’s because the offer comes with a big catch.

Mainlanders who are dreaming of a Hawaiian getaway will spend less than 24 hours in Honolulu.

There’s no overnight hotel stay to recover from jetlag. There are no additional stops to take pictures at Diamond Head, Kualoa Ranch or Dole Pineapple. Want to try Spam musubis, shave ice and malasadas? Forget about it.

There’s only a trip to the beach to devour the new sandwiches. Participants will take part in an Arby’s promotional video shoot on a Hawaii beach yet to be determined.

“Just you, sweet buns, tender meats, and a Hawaiian paradise to eat them in,” the Arby’s promotion says.

Hawaii residents will get to try the three new sandwiches at the Aiea, Pearl Harbor and Waipahu locations.

Sorry Honolulu residents, Arby’s won’t be offering a trip option for locals to fly to the neighbor islands. But Hawaii residents on the mainland are eligible to try to win the free trip, said Brad Simon, an Arby’s spokesman, in an email.
