Man, 32, arrested for allegedly knocking out tooth of visitor in Waikiki

Police arrested a 32-year-old man after he allegedly knocked out a visitor’s tooth in Waikiki.

The assault occurred in the 2000 block of Kuhio Avenue at approximately midnight Tuesday.

Police said the suspect and the victim, a 27-year-old California man, are not known to one another.

Police responded and arrested the assailant at the intersection of Nahua Street and Kuhio Avenue on suspicion of second-degree assault and criminal contempt of court.

The victim refused treatment.
