Driver, 78, in good condition after crashing van into Lahaina pool

    A 78-year-old Maui resident crashed a van into an apartment complex pool Lahaina Monday morning.

A 78-year-old man crashed a van into the swimming pool at the Lahaina Roads Apartments Monday morning, according to the Maui Fire Department.

Maui firefighters responded at 9:07 a.m. and found a white Ford van submerged in the pool.

The driver was out of the pool with a cut on his arm but otherwise in good condition when firefighters arrived, according to MFD.

Firefighters treated the man, described as a 78-year-old Lahaina resident, until paramedics arrived.
