Kunia brush fire was intentionally set, fire officials say
The Honolulu Fire Department investigators have determined that a wildland fire that broke out this afternoon on Kunia Road was intentionally set.
The case was turned over to the Honolulu Police Department for further investigation.
The fire department responded at 2:13 p.m. today with a total of five units and 15 personnel.
Four fires scorched a half acre on Kunia about 200 yards north of Anonui Street, the fire department said.
The fire was contained at 2:59 p.m.
