UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway is already in Las Vegas ahead of Saturday’s featherweight title fight.

Holloway said he was “feeling good” about the upcoming match against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 245.

“Feeling like a champ,” he told reporters last week prior to leaving for the Ninth Island. “Just can’t wait, a couple more days and we’re going to go out there and show the whole world why we’re the best in the world again.”

The Star-Advertiser will be in Las Vegas for Thursday’s media day and provide coverage throughout the rest of the week.

Holloway (21-4, 17-4 UFC) has won 13 consecutive fights at 145 pounds. Volkanovski (20-1, 7-0) is undefeated in seven UFC fights, with recent wins over Chad Mendes and Jose Aldo to earn a title shot.
