Brazen home-invasion robbery traumatizes Kahala couple

Honolulu police are seeking two male suspects who broke into the home of two seniors in Kahala late Monday, tied one of them up, took property and fled.

Just before 11 p.m. Monday, the two unidentified suspects entered the residence of a 77-year-old man and 76-year-old woman and “bound one of the victims,” although HPD did not say who was tied up.

The suspects then “searched the dwelling and took property and fled,” police said.

No one has been arrested.

HPD did not disclose the relationship between the two victims or if either was injured.

The case has been classified as a kidnapping, a first-degree burglary, and a second-degree robbery.
