Police arrest Waipahu man for choking his girlfriend
Honolulu police arrested a 36-year-old man after he allegedly choked his girlfriend at their apartment in Waipahu.
Police said the suspect choked the woman while shoving her against the wall at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The victim’s son was in the residence at the time of the alleged assault.
Police arrested the suspect on suspicion of abuse of a family or household member and abuse of a family or household member in the presence of a child younger than 14 years old.
