2 arrested over weekend stabbings
Honolulu police arrested two men in stabbing incidents over the weekend.
On Saturday, two men were taken to the hospital in serious condition after a violent argument at Ala Moana Beach Park.
According to the Honolulu Police Department, a 37-year-old man stabbed a 50-year-old man after an argument around 12:25 p.m.
Honolulu Ocean Safety first treated the two men for multiple stab wounds and then transferred their care to Honolulu EMS personnel, who administered lifesaving treatment and transported both victims to a trauma center.
Police later arrested the 37-year-old for second-degree attempted murder.
Honolulu police also responded to a separate stabbing case on Friday that left two men, ages 24, and 41, wounded.
The incident reportedly happened around 6:25 p.m. in a shopping center at the corner of Kamokila Boulevard and Kapolei Parkway in Kapolei.
According to police, a 36-year-old man stabbed a 24-year-old male after an argument. After the man had stabbed the 24-year-old, he reportedly stabbed a 41-year-old man, who was a bystander trying to intervene in the fight.
Honolulu EMS said it treated the 24-year-old patient, who had been apparently stabbed and cut on his upper body, arm and leg. EMS did not report treating the 41-year-old, who apparently was not hurt badly.
Police later arrested the 36-year-old male for second-degree attempted murder.
