Honolulu police have opened an investigation of an alleged home invasion robbery that occurred at a residence occupied by a 76-year-old man and 74-year-old woman in Waialae Iki Tuesday.

Police said two unknown male suspects entered the residence at about 4:50 p.m., threatened the homeowners with a gun and a knife and demanded their valuables.

The suspects then “looted the home” while the victims’ hands and feet were bound with tape, police added.

The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle. A description of the suspects or the vehicle were not immediately available.

There are no arrests at this time.
