Suspect in Waikiki bank robbery caught in Mililani

Police arrested today a 27-year-old man in Mililani suspected of robbing a bank in Waikiki and the subject of a CrimeStoppers bulletin issued this morning.

The man was arrested at 3:30 p.m. on suspicion of second-degree robbery. Charges are pending.

The suspect allegedly entered the Waikiki Central Pacific Bank at 333 Seaside Avenue and presented the teller with a demand note. He told the teller he was armed with a gun. The teller handed the man an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect fled in an unknown direction.
