A one-of-a-kind tourmaline necklace ($2,598) was designed on Maui and made in Bali by Starborn Creations.

Sedona presents its gem and jewelry trunk show 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at its store on the ground level of Ward Centre.

The Sedona Gem Show will feature collections from Deidre Berg, a Washington state-based wholesale dealer, as well as amethyst and citrine geodes, natural crystals, rare mineral specimens, stone carvings and gemstone jewelry from the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, offered at dealer prices.

Pieces include semiprecious stone and sterling silver jewelry priced below $50, as well as bargain flats featuring unusual stones and minerals for rock hounds. The bargain flat table has proved popular with young collectors due to its affordable mix of unusual minerals, rocks and fossils.

A portion of the proceeds from event sales will be donated to the Hawaii Foodbank. Call 591-8010.
