MEN’S BASKETBALL

» Willamette (Ore.) junior Taylor Mounts (‘Iolani ’08) finished with 20 points on 6-for-12 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds in an 84-70 loss to undefeated Whitworth on Saturday. Mounts posted a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds in a 74-69 loss to Whitman on Friday.

» Southwestern Oregon freshman Aaron Fernandez (Kalaheo ’10) finished with 18 points on 7-for-17 shooting with three assists and three steals, and Lincoln Seto (Baldwin ’09) added seven points and three assists in a 95-89 loss to Clackamas on Saturday.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

» Utah sophomore guard Iwalani Rodrigues (Kalani ’08) finished with 13 points, four rebounds and two steals in a 55-48 loss to Wyoming on Saturday.

» Cal State Northridge senior Analee Viena-Lota (Kamehameha ’07) finished with 10 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals, and Violet Alama (Kalani ’09) chipped in with eight rebounds before fouling out of a 75-67 loss to Cal State Fullerton on Saturday.

» UNLV forward Jamie Smith (‘Iolani ’08) finished with seven points, five rebounds and two steals to help the Rebels beat Air Force 63-52 on Saturday for their first conference win.

» Concordia (Calif.) senior guard Nicole Fu (Maryknoll ’07) had 18 points, six rebounds and two blocks in a 63-52 loss to Biola University on Friday.

» Montreat (N.C.) senior center Siutiti Takai (St. Francis ’06) finished with 12 points and nine rebounds in an 85-82 victory over Union University on Saturday.

» Clackamas (Ore.) sophomore Johnnelle Kapua (Mid-Pacific ’09) finished with nine points, three assists and three steals in an 81-74 loss to Southwestern Oregon on Saturday.

MEN’S VOLLEYBALL

» Southern California senior Riley McKibbin (Punahou ’07) posted a match-high 33 assists and four digs and Maddison McKibbin (Punahou ’09) had eight kills, six digs and four block assists while hitting .500 in a three-set sweep of Long Beach State on Friday. Taylor Crabb (Punahou ’10) had two digs, a kill and a block assist for the 49ers.

» Brigham Young middle blocker Futi Tavana (Kauai ’05) posted seven kills, four digs, two block assists and an ace in a five-set loss to Stanford on Friday.

» Cal State Northridge libero Kaleo Baxter (Kauai ’05) had a eight digs and three assists and setter Danny Rodrick (Kapaa ’07) added an ace in a five-set win over Pepperdine.

» Pacific (Calif.) junior Nicolas Schenk (Hawaii Prep ’07) had six kills, six digs and a solo block in a four-set victory over Indiana Purdue-Fort Wayne on Thursday.

» Massachusetts Institute of Technology senior defensive specialist Caine Jette (Maui ’06) finished with a team-high 10 digs and two aces in a three-game sweep of Elms College on Saturday.

WOMEN’S TRACK and FIELD

» Dartmouth sophomore Joy Piotrowski (Punahou ’09) placed third in the long jump (35-6 3/4 ) and seventh in the long jump (15-11) at a triangular meet with Massachusetts and Vermont on Saturday.

WOMEN’S SWIMMING

» Marist (N.Y.) sophomore diver Chelaine Eliazar (Punahou ’09) won the 1-meter diving event with 218.02 points and claimed the top spot on the 3-meter board with a score of 242.25 in a dual-meet victory over Southern Connecticut State on Saturday.

WOMEN’S WATER POLO

» Occidental (Calif.) is ranked No. 1 in the preseason Division III national poll released on Monday. The Tigers are led by Karie Nickle (Kamehameha ’07), a first team All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection a year ago, and Nanea Fujiyama (Kamehameha ’09), who was named to the second team as a freshman.
