Maui hotel collects 5,560 pounds of rice for food bank
The Fairmont Kea Lani hotel in Wailea, Maui, observed its 20th anniversary this year by holding a food drive that netted 5,560 pounds of rice for the Maui Food Bank, the hotel said.
The hotel on Dec. 1 asked its staff members to each donate a 20-pound bag of rice. By Dec. 16, 278 bags had been collected. “I am incredibly proud of our colleagues,” said Charles Head, the hotel’s general manager.
